We are currently hiring a second shift, full time position with the potential of earning overtime pay. Must be flexible with scheduling, and open to working weekends. This is a non-exempt position starting at $18/hour. (M-Saturday, 5Pm-4Am. 2-3 weeks advanced scheduling)

The duties of the maintenance mechanic technician include but are not limited to:

• Assisting the fabrication/installation and preventive maintenance of equipment thought out the facilities.
• Complete paperwork in a timely & legible manner.
• Maintain all work areas in a clean manner in line with plant GMP and housekeeping standards.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3- 5 years of maintenance experience in Food processing industry or similar industry.
• Must be able to work in cold & wet conditions (33 – 38 degree Fahrenheit) as well as being able to bend, stoop, kneel and stand for long periods of time.
• Understanding of regulatory agency guide lines like OSHA, ANSI, FDA, NFPA, NEMA, and EPA regulations as well as being able to comply with them from a craftsman perspective.
• Knowledgeable using a CMMS to document work orders and inventory usage.
• Able to follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Familiarity of industrial pumps and motors with the skills necessary to rebuild.
• Ability to perform the tasks of Millwright, Industrial Electrician and Plumber with an emphasis in hydraulics & pneumatics.
• Ability to read/decipher blueprints.
• Possess own mechanic tools.
• Experienced in PLC’s as well as other motion control devices and software is a plus
• Ability to produce sanitary welds using the TIG & MIG welding processes is a plus.
• Must be a team player as well as being able to function independently with minimal direction.
• Previous experience in fresh cut processing facility is a plus
• Experience in running some electrical conduit is a plus.
• Bilingual (Spanish /English ) is a plus
